The inspiration for this photograph came in the second half of September, during a quiet afternoon spent working in the garden. What struck me most was the sheer number of ripe raspberries still clinging to the bushes—far more than I had expected at this time of year.
Bathed in sunlight, one particularly radiant raspberry seemed to demand attention, practically calling out to be captured in a photograph. It was the perfect subject for another attempt at macro photography, its delicate texture and vibrant color standing in beautiful contrast to the surrounding greenery.
